This 2.5-day fun workshop invites us to explore monotype printing methods with Dawn Emerson. Monotype printing is a process of applying ink or paint to a plate, creating an image in the material and then transferring to paper (or other material) creating a unique, one of a kind (“mono”) print. Dawn will guide us through the process of working with the paint and ink to create the print and then adding pan pastels and other marks, using a variety of tools, to the print creating your own unique monotype print! You will love Dawn’s generous and inclusive teaching style and how she guides you through the entire creative process. Whether you are an experienced printmaker or have never done a monotype print, you will learn new techniques and have fun creating.
