OT-101
January 27-28 2018
1681 rue St-Denis, Montréal
In this two-day training, participants will learn all the steps of building a militant union in their workplace. We will go from the point of zero organization - an individual worker who wants to organize a union - to having a functioning committee which can fight the boss with direct action. We will cover the differences between a mainstream union and a revolutionary union, the stages of an organizing campaign, gathering contacts, mapping the workplace, building an organizing committee through one-on-ones, dealing with racism, sexism, and other forms of oppression in the workplace, preparing for the boss's retaliation, taking direct action, and going public
Breakfast, and lunch will be provided. We ask you to make yourself available for both days of the training to make the most of your experience.
We ask a donation of 20$ to cover food costs, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
